What is AKG Supplement?

AKG (alpha-ketoglutaric acid) is a compound, that occurs naturally in the human body. It takes a part in cellular metabolism. Food products do not contain AKG, but only its precursors. The only source of this compound may be supplementation and/or synthesis by the intestinal microbiota.

In this regard, there have been work on the development of innovative composition specially selected probiotic bacterial strains, plant ingredients and AKG. 1.What is recommended intake of an AKG PROBIOTICS?
The recommended daily intake of AKG probiotics depends on age: adults – 15 ml (1 spoon) 3 times a day, diluted in about 100 ml of water or another drink; children over 7 years – 10 ml (2 teaspoons) 3 times a day, diluted in about 70 ml of water or another drink; children over 3 years – 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 3 times a day, diluted in about 50 ml of water or another drink.
2. What is the content of bacteria in liquid AKG products?
1 ml of the product with alpha-ketoglutaric acid contains 1×10^8 CFU, which gives 4.5 billion bacteria in a daily portion for an adult.
3. How long should I take the supplements with AKG?
The minimal supplementation period should not be shorter than 3 months.
4. I have a coeliac disease, can I drink AKG probiotics?
Yes, you can. All our products are gluten-free, so they are suitable even for people with coeliac disease.
5. Can the use of the product have any side effects?
Both probiotic bacteria and alpha-ketoglutaric acid occur naturally in human body and have important functions in the organism. Therefore, taking the product as recommended, does not cause any side effects.
6. Does product contain any preservatives?
We do not add preservatives to our products. The function of a natural preservative fulfill the bioactive postbiotics contained in them, including organic acids and antioxidants.
